  • Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church is a member of The Presbyterian Church, USA. Presbyterians trace their history to the 16th century and the Protestant Reformation. Our heritage and much of what we believe began with the French lawyer John Calvin (1509-1564), whose writings crystallized much of the Reformed thinking that came before him.

Presbyterians believe in the sovereignty of God, the authority of Scripture, justification by grace through faith and the priesthood of all believers. What these tenets mean is that God is the supreme authority throughout the universe. Our knowledge of God and God’s purpose for humanity comes from the Bible, particularly what is revealed in the New Testament through the life of Jesus Christ. Our salvation (justification) through Jesus is God’s generous gift to us and not the result of our own accomplishments. It is everyone’s job — ministers and lay people alike — to share this Good News with the whole world. That is also why the Presbyterian church is governed at all levels by a combination of clergy and laity, men and women alike.

  • PCPC’s mission is to be a Christian community, to witness to God’s love by being a community of disciples of Jesus Christ, scripturally centered, joyfully and prayerfully in fellowship, with a heritage in the Reformed tradition, offering regular opportunities for worship with excellence in preaching and music, woven through education and nurture, marked by hospitality, humility, and compassion, expressed through friendship and service locally and globally. Out of our family history our mission is particularly to be a Christian community valuing children and youth, and to be a neighborhood church with friendships around the world.

  • We are called to be a community of disciples in Jesus Christ, who, seeking unity in the faith, are living our lives in joyful obedience to God’s Word. Worshipping Christ, learning in Christ, growing in Christ, caring in Christ, acting in Christ, reformed in Christ.

  • Hospitality Sessions are held monthly on Sunday mornings for anyone interested in learning more about our church and ministries. Contact Susan Frost for information on the next scheduled session.
