SUNDAY CLASSES
Exploring the Theology and Writings of Barbara Brown Taylor
Sundays, January 4, 18, 25, and February 1 from 10-10:50am in Eastminster 307/308
Paul Clark will lead a four-week class on priest, theologian and academic Barbara Brown Taylor. Taylor’s sermons, lectures and books emphasize faith as a radical trust in what is yet to be discovered and the sacredness of the physical world and everyday life. She encourages finding the divine in relationships and our often overlooked encounters with the natural world around us. Brown abandons the search for absolute certainty in propositions and doctrines in favor of the acceptance of a more fluid, ever-shifting dynamic as we encounter God all around us.

WEDNESDAY CLASS
Wednesday Classes are on Christmas Break until January 15, 2026.
Wednesdays, January 15-29 at 6:15pm in the Hospitality Room
Starting Anew: Christian Disciplines for the New Year
The start of the new year is often a time when people think about how they would like the coming year to be different or better than the previous one. It is time when folks set goals for themselves focused on self-improvement. Rather than the usual weight loss, less sweets, more exercise type of resolutions, I wonder if there are areas of improvement that we can look at from the perspective of being a disciple. Instead of how can I be a better version of myself, how can I be a more faithful follower of Christ? How can I more truthfully respond to God’s call to love God and my neighbor?
From January 15-29, join us on Wednesdays at 6:15pm in the Hospitality Room as we explore ways to deepen our relationship with God and live more fully into our call as followers of Christ.
