Palma Ceia is a worshipping community rich in history and faithful to those in need in our own church family, the local community and supporting international partners. We have many ministries and committees focused on care and compassionate outreach.
Care in the PCPC family/community includes prayer, support & guidance during difficult times, pastoral visits and support as well as education and fellowship opportunities.
PCPC supports many local missions that provide services to those in need in the Tampa Bay area. Financial support, typically yearly benevolence donations, volunteers who donate time and church wide collection drives for specific items are ways we support these organizations. We also support South Tampa community partners and provide space and resources for programs like AA, BoyScouts, Plant High School activities/groups and more.
Foreign/International Compassionate Outreach is lead by the Witness and Service committee and focused on the needs of our partners in Haiti, Honduras, Uganda and Poland. PCPC also partners with other churches and organizations to provide support for special needs including responding to and supporting Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
Special Offerings are collected 4 times per year to benefit specific PC USA programs and our own local ministry partners. Information on each offering and the beneficiary(ies) are announced through church communications during each season of collection or donations.
Adults, Children and Youth are involved in all our outreach ministries. Youth mission trips are offered each summer and other mission trip opportunities are organized based on the needs of our partners. Children support our mission programs financially once a year by collecting coins for a special offering and are provided opportunities to learn and display compassion through Christian Education programs.
