Tampa Oratorio Singers present… Mendelssohn’s “Elijah”

Guest soloists Todd Donovan, baritone and, Robyn Rocklein, mezzo-soprano will be featured, along with professional orchestra. The music shares the intense and dramatic story of the Israelites’ diminishing faith in God amidst a long-lasting drought. As they resort to worshipping an alternate God, Elijah seeks to restore his people’s faith. Favorite choruses include the women’s trio “Lift Thine Eyes” and the melodic “He Watching Over Israel”.
A pre-concert talk will highlight biographical information about Felix Mendelssohn.
