Tampa Bay Refugee Task Force Event – Celebrate Welcoming Week

Each year events are held across the country to commemorate National Welcoming Week in September. The goal of Welcoming Week is to bring together immigrants, refugees & native born residents to connect us as neighbors and to help us to find common ground.

Tampa Bay is commemorating National Welcoming Week by hosting an event on Saturday, September 23rd at 11:00am at the University Area Community Development Center located at 14013 N 22nd St, in Tampa.

The event will focus on creating an interactive environment with indoor and outdoor games, food, dancing and crafts.  Come get a henna tattoo, make a craft, play a soccer game, enjoy the children’s area and get to know someone from another country or culture.  The event is free and open to the public. For more information, please email Janet.Blair@myflfamilies.com

PCPC will be receiving a Welcomer Award at this event, so come join us in celebration of the mission work being done in our community.
