Lent Study: The Death of Ivan Ilyich

Sundays, March 10th through April 14th, at 10:05am in EM 307/308

Led by Will Wellman. Written shortly after his religious conversion, Leo Tolstoy’s The Death of Ivan Ilyich is a novella about a wealthy judge suddenly facing his death after being diagnosed with a terminal illness. The novella, considered one of Tolstoy’s masterpieces, deals with themes such as suffering, meaning, faith, anger, and grace and will provide a launching point for discussions on Lent. Email will@palmaceia.org to get on the e-mail list, which will send out readings for each week.
