Led by Will Wellman. Written shortly after his religious conversion, Leo Tolstoy’s The Death of Ivan Ilyich is a novella about a wealthy judge suddenly facing his death after being diagnosed with a terminal illness. The novella, considered one of Tolstoy’s masterpieces, deals with themes such as suffering, meaning, faith, anger, and grace and will provide a launching point for discussions on Lent.
