Faith and the Visual Arts
Sundays, February 10th through March 3rd, at 10:05am in EM 307/308
This class will explore how artist in different time periods explored Christian religious beliefs and ideas. Over four classes, we’ll start from ancient art and end with modern art, looking at how certain themes were portrayed at different points in history. We’ll also discuss how this art came to be, learning about both who created it and who commissioned it, as well as discussing these various artworks impact on our own faith. Led by Kem Toole.
