Advent at PCPC

This Sunday 12/20 at PCPC

This weekend in worship is the 4th Sunday in Advent. Across the services at PCPC we are turning the focus on love, the theme of the fourth Advent candle, and the stories from the Gospels of Mary and Joseph, Jesus’ family, the angels, and God’s glory seen in Christ. The Chancel Choir and Connection Band have prepared wonderful special music that interprets the scriptures.

At 8:30 and 11am Sunday in the Traditional Service, John DeBevoise will be preaching. Hymns & anthems include “Angels We Have Heard On High”, “Joy to the World”, “Do You Hear What I Hear?”, “Ave Maria”, “Coventry Carol”, and “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”.

At 9am Sunday in the Connection (Contemporary) Service in the Gym, David Bonnema will be preaching, with an emphasis on Love. The Praise Band will lead “Angels We Have Heard On High”, “It Came Upon A Midnight Clear”, “Joy To The World (Unspeakable Joy,” and more.

The Vespers Service Sunday will be at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel. This service utilizes scripture readings, contemplation, and prayer. It lasts about half an hour and includes the sacrament of communion.

Worship kicks off Saturday evening at Bel-Mar Presbyterian where the service will feature the Tampa Bay Harp Ensemble. This casual, family-friendly service begins at 5:30pm and all are welcome.

And, if you picked up a Box of Hope to fill, please return it with the requested items by Sunday, 12/20.

We look forward to worshipping with you this weekend!
