Adult Christian Education

Adult Christian Education holds the opportunity for you to journey with fellow travelers on the road to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Our Adult Education department offers a adult education classes; please check the weekly bulletins for the most detailed and current information. In addition to the Sunday morning classes, there are a lot of opportunities in the week to gather in fellowship and study.

SUNDAY SCRIPTURE

A Bible study that will focus on the Gospel Lectionary Text of that Sunday. Oftentimes, this study is linked with the scripture text for the sermon in the traditional services. This group is lead by Bill Wallof, Dean of the Chapel. The group meets on Sunday mornings in the chapel.

LYDIA
The Bible Study in this group will follow the themes of the Cooperative Uniform Study curriculum. This group meets on Sunday mornings in room EM302.

NEW MEMBER CLASS
If you are interested in becoming a member of PCPC or just have a question about who we are, please contact Rev. John DeBevoise. In addition to the class, once a month the staff holds a hospitality lunch to introduce the inner workings of the Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church. For more information about when those lunches are held, please contact Diane King.

INTERPRETERS
This energetic and questioning class examines how to engage as a disciple of Jesus Christ through book studies and topical issues. Check the weekly bulletin for upcoming topics. This group meets on Sunday mornings in room EM304.

FAITH IN THE PRESBYTERIAN TRADITION
What makes Presbyterians unique in the Christian family? What does it mean to be a part of the Reformed tradition? How are we taught through the Confessions? Answers to these questions and more each Sunday. This group meets on Sunday mornings in room C310 and is led by Mike Peacock.

THE APOSTLES’ CREED
Provides an introduction to, or a revising of, basic Christian beliefs. This group meets on Sunday mornings in room C312.

THE MUSTARD SEEDS
A women’s Bible study on Virtue and the Fruits of the Spirit. This group meets on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. in room C311. For more information, contact Betty Jo Andrews at 254-4959.

WORDRUNNERS
Join Bible scholar Joanne Snyder and this faithful group in an in-depth look at Scripture. This group meets on Sunday afternoons from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. in C305.

FOLLOWERS OF THE WAY
Followers of the Way is an inter-denominational Bible Study group of men who gather on Mondays at 12:00 p.m. to study scripture and share lunch. It is primarily a discussion class led by various members. All are invited to attend.

MONDAY MEN’S BIBLE STUDY
A group of men meet on Monday mornings at 7:00 a.m. to begin their week on a solid spiritual foot. For more information, contact Bill Wallof.

WOMEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST
An hour of prayer, coffee and support. The women meet at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday mornings.
