“A place apart to build up the body of Christ in love,” is the mission of Cedarkirk Camp and Conference Center, nestled along the Alafia River. PCPC families had the opportunity to experience this beautiful place apart in early October and each walked away having experienced the body of Christ in love. Michelle Hubbard and her family were part of the family weekend and below is her reflection on their experience.
“This was the first year our family joined the PCPC families for a retreat at Cedarkirk and we had a wonderful time. Cedarkirk is a beautiful place to enjoy God’s creation and fellowship with other families from our church. Pastor Nicole had wonderful activities planned, faith filled time, as well as time to rest and relax. The staff at Cedarkirk were very energetic and helped the weekend run smoothly. The retreat provided our family a chance to spend quality time together away from our usual busy schedules with work, school, kid’s activities and sports. We thoroughly enjoyed our time as a family on this retreat. We enjoyed simplifying our lives for a weekend and enjoying time away from our normal hustle and bustle. We highly recommend this getaway for families who never seem to have time to recharge. Aside from the fun and relaxation, most importantly, the retreat provided us with an opportunity to grow our faith as a family. Thank you to Pastor Nicole for making this experience special for all of those involved.”
