End of Year Note from Presbyterian Women

It’s been a busy year for PC’s Presbyterian Women, and looking back, it’s noteworthy to say it was a good year, too. We enjoyed studying the book of Philippians, assisting at Church Women United, donating a truckload of goods to LifePath Hospice (thanks to you), knitting a gazillion baby caps and blankets for the Tampa General preemies, decorating the sanctuary for Thanksgiving and Christmas, holding informative meetings on healthy eating and organic gardening, supporting our members, changing our board’s structure, enjoying Christmas fellowship together, passing the BINGO torch to our youth ministers, and much more. In addition, our members’ offerings allowed the Presbyterian Women to make monetary donations to Westshore Elementary for needy children, Mission Haven, the Thornhill Home, the Presbyterian Historical Society, and to PCPC.

And that’s not all! We recently installed our new board, honored past presidents and presented three fabulous women with their Honorary Lifetime Membership pins. Congratulations to Virginia Owen, Margaret Hylton, and Joanne Snyder for decades of support and faithful service to our church, our lives and our faith. They are truly deserving of this honor and we thank them so very much.

Lastly, may I please tell you what a pleasure it was to serve as president of PC’s Presbyterian Women. It was a delight and offered me a wonderful opportunity to serve this group and for personal spiritual growth.

Peace to all of you,
Nancy Nelson
